July
Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel
When: 16 July 2027, 11 AM
We will have an anointing mass and blessing of scapulars to celebrate the feast of Our Lady.
"Our Lady of Mount Carmel is one of the most beloved titles of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Under this title, Mary is honoured as the Patroness, Mother, and Sister of the Carmelite Family. Her connection to Carmel goes back to Mount Carmel in the Holy Land, where the first Carmelites, inspired by the Prophet Elijah, gathered to live lives of prayer, silence, and devotion to God. They dedicated a chapel to the Blessed Virgin Mary, placing themselves under her protection and seeking to imitate her example of faith."
